About
Copywriting is probably the most creative and demanding branch of writing. It is
the words used in advertisements, TV commercials, and brochures. Whenever a firm
promotes itself (through a press release, a leaflet or a newsletter) whether its
online or in print, it needs a copywriter. That’s why copywriting is everywhere
- on big posters, local newspaper ads, on the net, and in every clever slogan.
Copywriters are a special breed of people. They're skilled writers. Their work is
intellectually demanding, and more often than not, they're working against a strict
deadline.
This programme is aimed at those of you who feel that you have what it takes to
become a copywriter and instill you the skills to become effective at what you do.
This includes condensing a client's vague idea into crisp copy, and positioning
a product.
At the end of this course, you’ll have a portfolio that you can use (if you like)
to switch to a career in copywriting.

- How copywriting is different from other forms of writing.
- Role of a copywriter. Then and Now. (A retrospective view of changing roles of copywriters)
- Changing advertising scenarios. (Digital and experience advertising)
- Understanding brands
- Thinking an Idea. (cracking briefs and arriving on an idea)
- Writing a campaign. (Includes following topics - detailed out)
- Writing a headline
- Writing body copy
- Writing taglines
- Writing for Radio
- Writing for outdoor
- Writing a TV script
- Writing brochures/leaflets
- Writing AVs
- Writing Jingles / songs
Facilitators
Anindya Banerji is the Creative Director at Scarecrow Asia. With over 10 years experience, he has worked with O&M, Contract Advertising, Publicis India, and Law & Kenneth. He has received several awards in advertising, and worked with brands like IBM, Titan, Allen Solly, Vodafone, Perfetti, Dabur, Fiama di Willis, Maggi, and Nestle.Admission & Fees

There will be an entrance exam to test your aptitude for the course.
