SACAC follows the principles of Integral Education as envisaged by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother:
1. Nothing can be taught.
2. The mind has to be consulted in its own growth.
3. To work from the near to the far.
Keeping in mind the intense and personal attention that is required to enable this methodology, the student strength has been kept at optimum so as to attain maximum and fruitful interaction in the class. The curriculum here is designed in a manner to attain two objectives.
Encourage the aspiring professionals to contribute originally and responsibly with a higher level of self consciousness.
Transfer of basic technical knowledge and skills required to excel in the chosen career.
thinking and innovation.
Teaching Pedagogy
With the advancement of technology and its user friendliness, the effort has to be more on evolving the minds of artists and media content creators. The faculty consists of practicing professionals who keep themselves abreast of latest changes in the dynamic world of media. A relationship of mentoring is promoted between the teacher and the taught. Students are treated like aspiring professionals rather than classroom benchers. Students explore their interests independently under the guidance and personal attention of teachers. The environment is kept positive so as to promote original thinking and innovation.
The classes are distributed over regular interactions as well as workshops for effective transfer of knowledge. The theories discussed are soon applied in practical sessions for sound internalization of the key knowledge as well as opportunity to correct oneself in understanding it. Students are encouraged to actively participate in festivals, seminars and symposiums so as to build self confidence and learn from others. Eminent personalities are invited regularly to interact with the students so as to transfer hands-on knowledge and work as positive references.
