“We Came Walking” Selected for 14th IAWRT 2018

Event overview

We are ecstatic to share that Humaira Bilkis’ CDC Location Project film We Came Walking has been selected for the 14th International Association of Women in Radio and Television Film Festival 2018 to be held from 5th March to 7th March 2018.

Film synopsis: Dhobis or washermen and women believe that they are born to wash, according to the Goddess’ curse. They don’t remember exactly when they came to the city, yet are very much part of its living history. The flow of water contains many stories, and this very short film is a journey to discover rhythms, hidden and visible.

Akanksha Gupta and Vasuki Chandak’s CDC Location Project film Looking Through Fence has also been selected for this edition of the festival. For more information: https://www.iawrt.org/news/14th-iawrt-asian-womens-film-festival-2018
