Event overview
Every year SACAC invites its alumni to talk about their professional journey. Following the same tradition, this year Alumni Relationship Committee and Cultural Committee of Integrated Marketing Communications batch 2021-22 organised Alumni Talks seminar on 20 November 2021 with three alumni guest speakers from the Advertising and Public Relations course. This seminar elucidated several aspects of the media and communications industry to our students.
The event was a phenomenal learning experience where students could connect with their alumni. SACAC Director Daljeet Wadhwa expressed her delight and congratulated the alumni on their success.

Designing Perception
The first speaker, Pranav Bhardwaj (2010-11 Advertising and Public Relations alumnus), gave an overview of the balance between the artwork and message to be conveyed in a creative design. An award-winning designer himself, Pranav discussed the importance of insight and research before the formulation of the actual design. Through a visual presentation of his work, Pranav illustrated how a good copy can lead to a great design and how one should “start with the idea, not the metric.”Planning and Strategy
Mamtah Sabhrawal (2012-13 Integrated Marketing Communications alumna) discussed the importance of strategy and planning in account management. She explicated how planning is all about identifying your goals and strategising to reach them. And, that the success of your plans will be determined by how well you execute your strategy. Mamtah also argued that planning for digital transformation is a gradual process within the media industry as it will take an indefinite period to accommodate and digitise past data. Mamtah concluded her talk with a cliffhanger question — “How much should one then plan in an ever-changing world?”Transforming Journey
Gitanshu Jetly (2015-16 Advertising and PR alumnus) spoke of his journey from agencies to the client side of the business. Gitanshu recounted his experience and challenges ranging from PR firms to the hospitality sector. Now working as a deputy manager in Fortune Park hotels, Gitanshu underlined the significant attribute of ‘confidence’ and how it can make or break a career in the media industry. The event was a phenomenal learning experience where students could connect with their alumni. SACAC Director Daljeet Wadhwa expressed her delight and congratulated the alumni on their success.
