Welcome to our 12-weekend artist workshop! Throughout our journey, we'll explore the dynamic realm of contemporary and modern art and artists, delving into diverse styles, techniques, and perspectives each week. From bold brushstrokes to avant-garde installations, we'll uncover the narratives behind pivotal works shaping our art landscape. Curriculum:
1. Explore the history of painting, focusing on modern and contemporary artists.
2. Warm up with freehand techniques to prepare for artistic exploration.
3. Practice composition using inspiration from nature and influential artists.
4. Experiment with texture, 3D elements, light, and shade in natural scenes.
5. Discuss perspective, aspect, and form to deepen understanding.
6. Enhance composition skills and create balanced arrangements.
7. Explore art as a means of expressing emotions and experiences.

Faculty:

Meet Narang holds a bachelor's degree in Fine Art from Lalit Kala Mahavidyalaya, majoring in Painting with an elective in Printmaking, and a master's degree in Fine Art from Shiv Nadar University. He has been a visual art faculty at DPS International and worked on the collaborative project ECHO OF NOTHING, funded by the Neekoee Foundation. He participated in the international group show ‘Life in Between’ at Gallery Onkalf and worked as a Social Media Graphic Designer for the Ministry of Rural Development and a Provenances Executive at Delhi Art Gallery.

In performance art, Meet showcased work at Gallery Onkalf and managed a residency at Art Healing Space in Morni Hills, Panchkula. He taught print techniques at Avani School of Architecture and engaged in international exchanges like the October School 2018. His residencies include Pepper House, facilitated by Kochi Muziris Biennale, and American Art Incubator, focusing on gender equality. Meet is part of the ongoing Open Studio Collective research project, collaborating with various communities.
