Dhaval Kothari

Music has always been at the core of everything I do. To contribute my share in helping musicians and labels stand out from the crowd through innovative plans and techniques, I founded All By Play, a 360-degree integrated marketing company.

Through long and short-term goals, we help our clients reach their exact audiences and provide various services under one roof. It’s been more than a year, and we’ve successfully served 100+ artists across geographies and genres, along with top tier labels, helping with song releases, live shows and festivals, and building artist profiles.

Before starting out on my own, I spent a precious two years at Spotify India’s Artist and Label Partnerships, successfully leading key indie music projects, working with International artists, K POP, Bollywood and all Major labels. While working in Spotify have led more than 40+ artist education workshops teaching young musicians the way to use the Spotify for Artists app and other helpful resources.

I have a Master’s degree in Global Entertainment & Music Business from Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain, a school that widened my horizons and enriched everything I knew about the craft and business of music. There I got a chance to work on several projects with International artist managers like Scooter Brown, Yuvet (Publicist of Beyonce), BMI, Kobalt, Sony Music Germany, and so on.

Also, as an artist there I got chance to collaborate with Flamenco musicians and do on ground event called Indo Flamenco Concert in collaboration with Foundation Vicente Ferrer, Fuvane, Indian Embassy Madrid, with a footfall of 3000 Spanish audience watching or Indian classical music and Flamenco fusion which is rooted back to western subcontinent of India (Parts of Rajasthan) brought to Spain by Banjaras or Gipsy people.

Besides singing live across the world, I have been remarkably fortunate in the opportunities I’ve had to work with artists from a wide cross-section.

My art has always been my compass. As a child, I was introduced to the Mewati gharana of Hindustani classical music under the guidance of Shri Gautam Kale. Consequently, I trained under Pt. Ajay Pohankar ji in Mumbai.

I as a singer have always been struggled to get right guru and find right tutelage, hence seeing that at early age I started a music foundation called Dhaval Music Foundation registered with Culture Ministry of India, where I started organising free workshops, giving stage to upcoming Indian classical artists and collaborate with local music schools to provide right maestroes and teachers by doing free sessions / Workshops for young students.

I’ve had the honour and pleasure to sing in multiple Indian languages. Besides my own personal style of indie music, one of the most fun projects I’ve done is #FolkTales, a series lending a touch of novelty to timeless Indian folk songs through original compositions – this has a viewer base of over 20M on YouTube and 160K+ monthly listeners on Spotify.
