Sarang Sahay
A trained and certified audio engineer from Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication, Sarang has been successfully making his name in the Audio Industry for some time now.
While pursuing his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, the functioning of sound systems at live concerts during college festivals intrigued him and that is what led him to where he is today. Sarang is known for his professionalism, meticulous planning and flexibility, and these qualities enable him to work collaboratively with a variety of audience and musicians.
After completing his sound engineering course. at SACAC, he worked for a year at The Piano Man Jazz Club, providing live sound for musicians from the city and world over, covering different genres.
He has worked with big names in the industry such as The Raghu Dixit Project, Adnan Sami, Hari & Sukhmani, Pakshee & Anirudh Varma Collective, The Revisit Project and Antariksh, amongst many others, as their Live Sound Engineer. He has also been a part of big international festivals such as the Rainforest World Music Festival in Malaysia and the Dhaka Folk Music Festival.
As a mentor to budding audio engineers, he aims to share his experience through the Live Sound modules and workshops that has been designed by him to help students start off in the Audio Industry.
