Ujwal Nagar

A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Hindustani vocal Music, Ujwal is an All India Radio Graded Artist, and a recipient of Central Government Scholarship by Ministry of Culture for his relentless pursuit for Hindustani classical music. As a classical vocalist, he has performed at major cities in India and abroad and has been featured on various television channels and popular platforms such as MTV Coke Studio and MTV Unplugged. His work with pianist Terry McCaw (USA), under the group name ‘Yogini,’ made an impressive impact on music enthusiasts in the USA. Their work can be heard in the critically acclaimed documentary ‘Dalai Lama Renaissance’ narrated by Harrison Ford. Ujwal is also involved in collaborative work with Advaita on an ongoing basis. He is also a gifted Tabla player.
