Dr. Jaishri Jethwaney is a Ph.D in International Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her areas of core competence are: Political communication, social marketing, public relations/corporate communication , advocacy and social mobilization. Professionally she is currently with Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID) in its Media and Communications Division since 2 January 2017where she is working as Project Lead for a UNESCO project covering nine countries in south Asia.
She has over 25 years teaching experience first as Associate Professor and since 1996 as Professor & Program Director (Ad/PR) at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi, India until 31 October 2016.
She also has over a decade of industry experience in brand and corporate communication.
She has also led a number of social communication/ marketing consultancies for the UNESCO, WHO and GoI and has a number of publications and textbooks on Advertising and Public Relations to her credit. She has also co-authored books and publications with fellow faculty and peers as well as conducted over 100 short term training programmes as a part of her teaching career where most of the participants have been delegates from international organizations, NGOs, central and state government officers and practitioners from the corporate sector. Dr. Jethwaney when not at work or busy writing books is a loving daughter, sister and aunt who takes pride and active interest in the achievements of her nephews and nieces . She also loves to travel and is a passionate foodie
