The Opportunity

The Indian media and entertainment industry is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.8 per cent and reach Rs 4.30 lakh crore by 2026, according to a report by global consultancy firm PwC. The growth would be paced by digital media owing to internet penetration mainly through smart phones. Traditional media will hold their steady growth.

Considering the huge growth of the media industry & lack of specialized media planners in the industry; Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication (SACAC) has come up with a unique certification program in integrated media planning. This course is prepared & run by industry practitioners with a collective experience of over 50 years. The emphasis is on practical skills that could be implemented from day one of the job. This course is equally beneficial for both freshers and working professionals looking for a career transition into the bright future of media.

Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication (SACAC) has been running the PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations course for the past 15 years. Over 350 students have been trained by experienced teachers who have remained connected to the industry. Our students make contact, receive valuable career advice, and become immediately competitive in the global job market. Getting our students industry-ready is at the heart of what we do at SACAC. Our courses are well recognised by professional media organisations. Our continued commitment to the students’ growth and success has given us the confidence to introduce a specialised media planning course.

Course Overview

The media options are exploding today and the number of hours in a day is still 24 hours. Digitisation and mobile devices have disrupted how people consume media. We know that the mobile device is a 24x7 companion offering consumers content on demand at the time suitable.

For brand communications to reach the consumers effectively, the science and principles of media planning are critical. The plans have to be worked based on data ( syndicated and owned) to arrive at the optimal use of budgets.

There are multiple long-term & generic mass media or advertising courses in the market but there is no specialized course for integrated media planning. Few institutes have attempted digital marketing courses but most brands are looking for planners who could plan for multi-media because the consumer is platform agnostic. Therefore our aim is to train you as a specialized integrated media planner who could confidently strategise & plan for all mediums & not just tv planning or digital planning in isolation. This will give you an edge over other courses which are either too generic or provide specialization in just one medium.

This course is designed & run by media industry practitioners.
