If you’ve ever been curious about capturing the world around you through your phone, this workshop offers a hands-on and exploratory space to learn, experiment, and create.
Understanding the fundamentals of phone photography, the workshop introduces participants to the art of visual storytelling focusing on how light, composition, movement, and sound come together to shape compelling narratives.

Participants will engage in practical exercises, guided shoots, and creative assignments that build both technical understanding and artistic confidence. With capturing still images, the process will encourage observation, experimentation, and personal expression. The workshop is ideal for anyone interested in exploring photography and storytelling through visuals, whether as a beginner or as someone looking to develop their creative practice.

No prior experience is required. A list of materials and recommended apps will be shared upon registration.

About Artist Mentor

Idris Ahmed is a Delhi-based professional photographer and mentor with over 25 years of experience in photography education. Known for his versatile work, he has collaborated with leading national and international clients including VIVO India, Radisson, and the Wildlife Trust of India. He is currently a photography coach at Sri Aurobindo Centre for Art and Communication and the founder of Photocommune, a collective for photography enthusiasts.
