Abhilasha Srivastava

Abhilasha Srivastava is an Assistant Professor of Economics at California State University, Fresno. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from American University in 2017, where her research focused on the political economy of gender and social norms. Her scholarship examines caste, gender, labor, food politics, and social reproduction in South Asia, with publications in leading journals such as Gender & Society, Review of Radical Political Economy, and Population and Development Review. She has served as a consultant for the World Bank and other international institutions on gender and time-use research. Dr. Srivastava is an Associate Editor of Forum for Social Economics, an Executive Council Member of the Association of Social Economics, and an active contributor to engaged and interdisciplinary scholarship.
