Artist, Writer, Visiting Faculty

Adira Thekkuveettil is an artist and writer whose work investigates photography’s entanglements with contemporary socio-political consciousness, especially in an urban context. She draws from family histories, archives and her own practice as a photographer to explore the lines that seemingly separate fact from fiction. In 2023 she was the Digital Artist in Residence at the Museum of Art and Photography, Bangalore. Adira is the Course Director of Aesthetics, Criticism and Theory at Jnanapravaha Mumbai, and is a member of the 8:30 collective.
