Kulpreet Yadav
An Amazon No. 1 bestselling novelist, Kulpreet Yadav is the Founder-Editor of Open Road Review, an international literary magazine that has published over 140 writers from 20 countries in the last three years. Kulpreet has conducted numerous workshops for aspiring writers in India. A product of the Naval Officer’s Academy, Kulpreet quit his job of a mariner as a Commandant with the Indian Coast Guard on 1 Jan 2014 to pursue his passion for writing and speaking. He has been shortlisted in several literary contests and his stories and essays have appeared in over 30 publications in India and abroad.
Red Ink Literary Agency, New Delhi, is representing Kulpreet’s Andy Karan series of thrillers. ‘Catching the Departed’, the first in the series, which was shortlisted by Hachette-DNA in their contest ‘Hunt for the Next Bestseller’, was launched at The Arts House, Singapore. The second in the series, ‘The Girl Who Loved a Pirate’, is India’s first spy thriller based on pirates and hijacking at sea.
Kulpreet’s first novel, The Bet was followed by A Waiting Wave, India Unlimited – Stories from a Nation Caught between Hype and Hope. One of the short fiction pieces, included in this collection, won a Special Commendation in ‘The Best Short Writing in the World’ by Fleeting Books, UK.
