Lewis Bush

Lewis Bush is a British artist and researcher whose work investigates powerful institutions, technologies, and systems of governance through photography, writing, data visualisation, film, and publishing. His long-term projects—such as Metropole, Shadows of the State, Depravity’s Rainbow, and Trading Zones—explore subjects ranging from property speculation and intelligence infrastructures to colonialism, space travel, and offshore finance. His works are held in major collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum, Tate, Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He is Senior Lecturer in Documentary Photography at London College of Communication and a PhD candidate at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he researches trust in photojournalism.
