Rohit Prasanna

Hailing from a family of legendary flautists, Rohit trained and was groomed under the kind guidance of their grandfather late Pandit Raghunath Prasanna & father Shri Ravi Shankar Prasanna. The music heritage has imbibed in him a very keen sense of sur and taal (musical notes & rhythm), with the result; various exponents of Indian Classical Music have applauded his public performances in musical sittings.

He has also won scholarship from Shahitya Kala Parishad. He has received A grade from All India Radio Akashwani. Since then, he has repeatedly performed in All India Radio, Aakashwani, Doordarshan and spic macay. In 2011, he performed at the India International Centre and at the Mehg Malhaar Festival in Udaipur. He has performed at the ASEAN Festival, Indonesia in 201, and at the world's biggest folk music festival Ethno in Sweden in 2013.

At SACAC's Audio School, Rohit is a visiting faculty.
