This workshop introduces young learners to the fundamentals of painting and sketching through a structured, hands-on approach. Participants will begin by observing and understanding space and lines, learning how to observe their surroundings and blend their imagination with it. They will then move on to studying form, exploring how shapes come together to create objects and depth.

The course also covers the basics of colour theory, helping students understand colour relationships, mixing, and application. Building on these skills, participants will explore composition and perspective, learning how to arrange elements within a frame and create a sense of balance and depth in their artwork.

Students will also be introduced to fundamental painting methods and processes, applying their learning as they create a final artwork, that will further serve as a key takeaway from the workshop.

Through guided exercises and practice, students will develop confidence in expressing their ideas through drawing and painting while strengthening their foundational art skills.
