Phone Photography 2-Day Boot Camp: It is an exploratory workshop designed for anyone curious about capturing the world through their phone. Focusing on the fundamentals of visual storytelling, participants will learn how light, composition, movement, and sound come together to create compelling narratives. Through guided shoots, practical exercises, and creative assignments, the workshop builds both technical skills and artistic confidence while encouraging observation, experimentation, and personal expression. Ideal for beginners and those looking to deepen their practice, no prior experience is required, and a list of materials and recommended apps will be shared upon registration.

Phone Videography 2-Day Boot Camp is a hands-on workshop for anyone looking to start creating videos using their phone, introducing essential tools, techniques, and the basics of narrative building. Participants will explore how framing, movement, sound, and lighting come together to shape compelling visual stories, while also learning mobile editing to turn raw footage into a cohesive video. Through guided exercises, practical shoots, and collaborative activities, the workshop builds both technical skills and creative confidence, culminating in the creation and screening of a 30–60 second video followed by a group discussion and feedback session. Ideal for beginners and those interested in storytelling through video, no prior experience is required, and a list of recommended apps and requirements will be shared upon registration.

About Artist Mentor

Idris Ahmed is a Delhi-based professional photographer and mentor with over 25 years of experience in photography education. Known for his versatile work, he has collaborated with leading national and international clients including VIVO India, Radisson, and the Wildlife Trust of India. He is currently a photography coach at Sri Aurobindo Centre for Art and Communication and the founder of Photocommune, a collective for photography enthusiasts.

Instructor

Antasa Vairagya is an academician-turned-photographer and videographer whose practice bridges sociological inquiry and visual storytelling. A former Assistant Professor and currently a research scholar of sociology, she specialises in visual ethnography, using still and moving images to explore social worlds with nuance and depth. Antasa has worked as an Assistant Director in commercial video projects and created bespoke photo and video content for a range of brands. She has exhibited her works and has been mentoring workshops and photography tours.
