Gulmehar Dhillon
Gulmehar Dhillon is a Curator and Programmes Manager at Khoj International Artists’ Association. Her research interests include lens-based practices, methodologies and activism, embodying a conception of art as an instrument of resilience and dissent. She holds a Masters in Art History (Critical Curatorial Studies) from the University of British Columbia and a Diploma in Photography from Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Creativity.
Gulmehar has been the recipient of the Social Documentary Photography Grant 2021, the Audain Graduate Fellowship 2022, and the Helen Belkin Memorial Fellowship 2024. Her curatorial show, “and when you return, we will talk again”, was exhibited at Centre A: Vancouver International Centre for Contemporary Asian Art, and was a Selected Exhibition of the Capture Photography Festival 2024. Dhillon has previously worked at Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery (Vancouver) and the Liu Lobby Gallery (Vancouver). She has also contributed at ASAP | Art (Delhi).
